That final sentence is the complete official record of the Grok Bot free trial. Three things are stated in it: a trial exists, it has limited usage, and it is aimed at people without an eligible plan. Nothing else is stated. The duration gap is the one that generates the search traffic, and it is also the one every other page fills with a number it cannot support. We will not, because there is nothing to support it with. If xAI publishes a duration, this page will say so and will say when.
What third parties claim, and how much to trust it

Two of those pages cannot both be right and it is possible that none of them is. The seven-day and fourteen-day figures may be inherited from the older SuperGrok consumer trial (see the next section), which is a different offer with a different mechanism. The "no trial exists" claim was accurate when it was written and is now stale, which is the normal failure mode in this space rather than dishonesty.
The other Grok trial, and why people confuse them
There is a separate, older, consumer-facing trial for SuperGrok, the chatbot subscription. Reports describe it as roughly three days, requiring a payment card, and regionally gated, with some accounts seeing a longer window. It predates Grok Bot entirely.

The final row is the one that catches people. Trialling SuperGrok does not get you Grok Bot. Cursor’s own help page is explicit: "Only individual SuperGrok Plus and individual SuperGrok Heavy grant Grok Bot usage", and basic SuperGrok, SuperGrok Team, and SuperGrok Enterprise are all listed as not qualifying. The access floor moved from roughly $120 a seat to a $40 Cursor Teams Standard seat ten days later, and a trial appeared. Check the eligible-plan list first
If you already hold SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, or Cursor Teams Standard or Premium, you do not need a trial.
Check Legacy Privacy Mode before anything else
Grok Bot requires cloud data storage. If your Cursor account has Legacy Privacy Mode on, the product is blocked at any tier, trial included, until that setting changes. This is the single most common reason a trial will not start.
Install the app and sign in with Cursor
The desktop app for macOS or Windows, or the iPhone app. The first step after installing is Sign In with Cursor, and the onboarding introduces Bots, the shared computer, and routines before asking which tools you use. Whether a trial is offered will be visible on that path.
Note what the account tells you, with the date
