Gemini CLI / Antigravity in Continuum

Same Google-side agent quality when selected. Continuum adds multi-lab peers and Continuum ops.

Gemini CLI and Antigravity-class Google coding agents are engines in Continuum’s provider set. Continuum is not a Google fork. It is the free multi-provider workbench that runs Gemini-side agents next to Claude Code and Codex - with worktrees, phone control, gauges where available, and a local spend ledger. Google-side agents are strong inside Google’s ecosystem. Continuum’s comparison is not “Gemini bad” - it is “Gemini as one engine in a multi-lab cockpit with Continuum ops.”

Choose Continuum when

You want Gemini/Antigravity plus Claude/Codex, Continuum clients, worktree panes, and multi-lab analytics - not a single-vendor Google-only surface.

Choose Gemini CLI / Antigravity when

You want Google’s native Gemini CLI / Antigravity experience alone and no Continuum workbench.

In Continuum

Google agent in a multi-lab day

09:45

Continuum Code: Gemini/Antigravity session on feature A; Claude worktree on feature B.

12:30

Plan approve from iPhone on the Google-side session while lunch runs.

16:00

Repo ledger shows combined spend; you keep the stronger branch at PR time. Compare Gemini-side output and Claude output via separate worktrees; merge the cleaner diff.

In Gemini CLI / Antigravity

Native Gemini CLI day

09:45

Run Gemini CLI / Antigravity natively. Full Google-side agent quality in Google’s surface.

12:30

Stay at the keyboard in that product. Continuum mobile is outside this path.

16:00

Usage lives in Google account views. Multi-lab Claude/Codex fleet is a different app day. Native Gemini CLI remains best when you never leave Google tooling.

02 · Monday path

Monday with Gemini-side agents in Continuum

Install, connect, first session - steps you can run the same day.

01

Install Continuum; configure Gemini/Antigravity provider paths Continuum supports.

02

Spawn a Gemini/Antigravity session in Code tab for a Google-rail ticket.

03

Spawn Claude or Codex peers when you want a second branch - same repo sidebar.

04

Pair iPhone for approve/interrupt across engines.

05

Check Usage analytics columns after history lands; gauges where Continuum can poll.

06

Keep native Gemini CLI for pure Google days without Continuum chrome.

07

Confirm Gemini/Antigravity auth in Continuum Settings before a demo - failed probes are cheaper than a live fail.

How Continuum runs Google-side agents

How Continuum runs Gemini / Antigravity

  • Google-side agents are Continuum providers in the catalog - spawn/host paths integrate the official tooling Continuum supports.
  • Peers stay first-class: Claude PTY and Codex ACP sessions share the managed sidebar.
  • Code panes (chat, plan, diff, PR, terminal, artifacts) attach regardless of engine.
  • Mobile pair targets the Continuum daemon on the host running the agent.
  • Analytics include Google-side usage where parsers/bridges exist; LiteLLM pricing tables cover known model ids.
  • WatchOS builds gate heavy parsers; phone/Mac remain the primary Continuum control surfaces for Google-side sessions.

Same engine under your login. Continuum cells name the cockpit - panes, gauges, isolation - not a re-score of model quality.

04 · Multi-lab layering
01 · Layering

Engine versus cockpit.

Gemini/Antigravity are engines. Continuum is the multi-lab workbench that can host them beside Claude and Codex. Continuum provider enablement flags can hide engines you do not use so the Code tab stays calm.

02 · Peers

Google is not the only good agent.

Continuum’s product bet is multi-lab. Google-native surfaces optimize Google-only - admit that strength. Analytics pricing needs model ids present in pricing.json / overrides - Continuum’s pricing pipeline is part of the product.

03 · Mobile + ledger

Continuum ops surfaces.

Phone control and multi-lab repo $ are Continuum. Do not expect them from Gemini CLI alone.

04 · When native wins

Stay Google-only if that is the whole stack.

If you never leave Gemini-side tools, Continuum is optional chrome. Continuum wins when peers and ops matter.

05 · Coexistence
Stack recipe

Same engine. Bigger cockpit.

Stack recipe: Continuum hosts Gemini/Antigravity paths where integrated and still drives Claude/Codex as peers. Keep Google’s native CLI for Google-only workflows; use Continuum when multi-lab fleet, mobile approve, or repo ledger matter.

06 · Host Google agents or stay native
Continuum

Choose Continuum for multi-lab ops around Gemini

  • Run Gemini/Antigravity beside Claude and Codex in one fleet. Continuum Code panes stay first-class: chat, plan, diff, PR, terminal, artifacts.
  • Need Continuum mobile approve and Code panes.
  • Want worktrees, PR flows, and spawn grid around Google-side agents.
  • Need multi-lab gauges and local analytics.
  • Prefer free Continuum app on top of Google + other lab plans.
Gemini CLI / Antigravity

Stay native when Google-only is enough

  • Only want Google’s native Gemini CLI / Antigravity UX. Continuum will not pretend to win that job with marketing wording alone.
  • Do not need multi-lab peers or Continuum mobile.
  • Happy with Google account usage UIs alone.
  • Prefer zero Continuum product surface.
  • Already standardized on Google-only coding agents.

Their bill

Google AI / Gemini plan or API pricing - verify Google AI Studio / Gemini / Antigravity terms as of 2026. Continuum does not replace that bill.

How to compare

Total cost of work

As of 2026 - verify on continuumcode.ai/pricing and the vendor site. Continuum does not mark up BYOK or subscription sessions it drives under your login. Continuum hosts; it does not rebrand Google’s models as Continuum inference unless you use Continuum hosted SKUs.

08 · Questions

Gemini CLI / Antigravity + Continuum.

Deep dives: docs, providers, sessions.

It is a host and multi-lab workbench. For Google-only CLI, use Gemini CLI. For multi-lab Continuum ops, add Continuum.

Antigravity-class Google agent paths are part of Continuum’s provider story where integrated - Continuum still positions them as engines, not Continuum-owned models.

Yes - parallel Continuum sessions (often worktrees), compare diffs, keep the better branch.

No for BYOK/subscription sessions Continuum drives under your login. Optional Continuum hosted inference is a separate SKU.

Yes when the session runs through Continuum’s daemon and you pair the iPhone client.

Continuum’s product assets map Google-side coding agents in the catalog; the compare page covers Gemini CLI / Antigravity as that provider lane.

Catalog and pricing lag real model launches sometimes. Bundled ModelCatalog + probes update over releases; verify the Continuum build’s catalog if a brand-new id is missing.
